Museum of Meissen Art, Meißen
When the extension to the House of MEISSEN® was planned in 2005, it was already clear in our minds that the exterior façade just had to be designed adopting the MEISSEN® Architecture scheme.
Our in-house artistic group promptly set about devising design proposals that represent a time trip through the 300-year history of the MEISSEN® Manufactory, one that embraces everything from the original oriental role models, typical blue-and-white decorations, the discovery of the arcanum and its presentation to Augustus the Strong right through to the global ascendancy of MEISSEN® porcelain today.
Particularly impressive is the way motifs are continued over onto the exposed concrete.
The art was affixed so as to ensure both a good circulation of air and flush integration into the architectural structure
