MEISSEN Hires Rosenthal’s Sales Director

The manufactory enters the international business with porcelain for hotels and restaurants.

MEISSEN® continues to expand sales and distribution at a fast pace. Only a few weeks after the company brought aboard four top sales managers from international brands such as Lalique, Chopard, Mont Blanc, and Damiani, MEISSEN’s CEO Christian Kurtzke announced a further, surprising addition to the management team: Mr. Achim Bornhäußer, who for a long time has been the sales director of Rosenthal’s hotel and restaurant sector, will join MEISSEN® before the end of the year.

MEISSEN evolving sales structures in Italy

The MEISSEN® Manufactory has announced it will be appointing new management for its Italian subsidiary MEISSEN® Italia in Milan with effect from 1 February 2013.

The heritage company has been able to secure the services of Paolo Novembri as the CEO responsible for Sales and Distribution, a man with decades of experience in the sphere of private luxury goods who was also at one time President and CEO USA at the Damiani jewellery brand. He was responsible for the brand’s international expansion in this capacity. Read more »

MEISSEN pushing distribution ahead in England

The MEISSEN® Manufactory is single-mindedly advancing its international expansion drive. In the run-up to launching its new boutique in London’s famous Harrods store, the 300-year-old heritage company has now announced that Fiona Milne will be heading MEISSEN® UK, its new distribution and service company in London.

Mrs Milne possesses extensive experience in the luxury goods industry and was responsible amongst other things for overseeing the successful expansion of Lalique in England as that company’s CEO. Read more »

MEISSEN strengthening product management in Italy

The MEISSEN® Manufactory is strengthening the management of its Milanese subsidiary MEISSEN® Italia. Christina Knorr will be assuming responsibility for product management at the Italian MEISSEN® subsidiary with effect from 1 February 2013.

Mrs Knorr possesses extensive experience in the field of private luxury goods. Over recent years she has been responsible for development and product management in the sphere of leather goods accessories at Mont Blanc, part of the Richemont Group. Read more »

Christian Kurtzke, the CEO of the luxury goods manufactory MEISSEN, chose the date very deliberately: two days ago, on 15 January 2013, the first MEISSEN® Boutique in China was opened, exactly 305 years after the invention of European porcelain in Meissen. Read more »

The MEISSEN® Manufactory opened one of its first “shop-in-a-shop” units just before Christmas at Berlin’s Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe). It stocks the full MEISSEN HOME® deco range, giving customers plenty of opportunity to find outstanding accessories and gift items for a beautiful home that include everything from vases, luminaires and the new collection of cushions to both classics and innovations from the realm of dining culture. MEISSEN opens Joaillerie boutique in Stuttgart

The MEISSEN® Manufactory is single-mindedly advancing its strategy of building up the MEISSEN® Joaillerie brand via selected jewellers and franchise partners as well as through boutiques of its own. A further boutique has now opened at No. 16 Calwer Strasse in Stuttgart (across the road from Feinkost Böhm). There follows an interview on the subject with the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Christian Kurtzke.
