MEISSEN Manufactory unveils new products for 2011: MEISSEN® VERNISSAGE 2010
From 21 September to 3 October 2010, the MEISSEN® Manufactory will be unveiling its innovations for 2011 to a broad international audience.
Two new ranges are being introduced in the field of art:
The new MEISSEN® Fine Art® Exclusive Collection and the 2011 Limited MEISSEN® Artworks, which will attract international collectors and investors above all.
In addition, the MEISSEN® Manufactory will be launching around 1,000 new gift ideas for quality interior designs.
The Manufactory will also be marking the 75th birthday of the ever-popular Peter Strang at MEISSEN® VERNISSAGE 2010 by exhibiting one-offs and limited editions by the artist.
“Over 1,500 visitors from all over the world came to our presentation last year, and some of the Limited Artworks were sold out in next to no time as a result. I hope we can repeat that success this year”, says Dr Christian Kurtzke, the company’s Managing Director.
The Manufactory has chosen a very special venue for the vernissage in its tercentenary year: Albrechtsburg Castle in Meißen, its first production site.
The event will be officially opened at the Albrechtsburg by Dr Martin Rößler, President of the Saxon Parliament, and Dr Christian Kurtzke, the Manufactory’s Managing Director, at 3.30 p.m. on Monday, 20 September 2010.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day as of 21 September, except on Wednesdays, when the closing time is actually extended to 9 p.m.! Tickets for the Albrechtsburg cost €8 per adult and entitle you to visit MEISSEN® VERNISSAGE 2010. Entrance is free from 6 p.m. on Wednesdays!

MEISSEN® Fine Art® Exclusive Collection 2010/2011
Top-class range of MEISSEN® art handicraft
The “MEISSEN® Fine Art Exclusive Collection” is the MEISSEN® Manufactory’s answer to the growing demand by international collectors and investors for alternative forms of investment in these times of financial crisis. The 2010/2011 collection comprises 172 select items set apart by outstanding artistry and the worth that that gives rise to.
The range embraces the most diverse realms of style, subject-matter and products created at the MEISSEN® Manufactory in four different centuries. Each art object is produced for one year in a limited edition only and is numbered accordingly. Its exclusive origin is indicated by means of the “crossed swords” in cobalt blue plus a special MEISSEN® Exclusive Collection mark.
Only a select circle of aficionados, collectors and investors will have access to this top class of MEISSEN® art handicraft, since even the prestigious pictorial volume documenting the various works of art is individually numbered and cannot be bought. Each copy is handed over personally upon prior recommendation only.
