Just as he said he would, Dr Christian Kurtzke, Chief Executive Officer of the MEISSEN® Manufactory Luxury Group, is driving his international expansion course forward in leaps and bounds: only months after announcing its first franchise partner in China, the MEISSEN® Manufactory has now published its expansion plans for the Middle East. The Manufactory has only ever processed sporadic major orders in this region hitherto but is now intent on setting up an area-wide distribution network of self-standing MEISSEN® boutiques there. Just a few weeks after the acclaimed launch of its new jewellery collection at BASELWORLD, the world’s largest clock and jewellery fair, MEISSEN® has now opened its first MEISSEN® JOAILLERIE Boutique in Germany to coincide with its latest Open Day at Meissen.

MEISSEN Opens Museum of Modern Art

The porcelain manufactory Meissen has now opened a museum of contemporary art in Meissen. The first visitor was Wing-Kun Tam, the international president of the Lions Club, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation of Lions Club representatives.

The museum shows works by artists from all over the world. These porcelain artworks were made at the MEISSEN® artCAMPUS, established two years ago.
