Sensational success for MEISSEN Joaillerie at Germany’s Inhorgenta jewellery trade fair

The new Meissen jewellery collection presented at Germany’s Inhorgenta trade fair evidently struck a very positive chord. “It has clearly been a sensational success, far exceeding my expectations”, is how Meissen’s Managing Director, Dr Christian Kurtzke, sums up the outcome of last weekend’s fair. From 25-28 February 2011 the MEISSEN® Manufactory will be presenting its latest collection of jewellery creations at the annual Inhorgenta trade fair in Munich.

The portfolio of the venerable 300-year-old company, one that has consolidated its position as one of Germany’s internationally best-known luxury brands in 2010, embraces jewellery creations in the mid to high-price segments. Each piece is painstakingly hand-made. Read more »

On its way to becoming the new “must-have”: cute pug from MEISSEN

The new pug necklace by MEISSEN® is being featured in style magazines everywhere at the moment. This unique porcelain creation from the Manufactory has been itching to be rediscovered as a gem since about 1740. The pug figures prominently in a new collection that is being produced in Milan by the age-old company, along with its Italian subsidiary MEISSEN® Italia. Set off by a sparkling brilliant-cut diamond, the MEISSEN® pug is now gracing the décolletés of the style-conscious and also of quite a few celebrity icons of style. Read more »

Queen Rania of Jordan receives MEISSEN’s Managing Director

Queen Rania of Jordan received our Managing Director, Dr Christian Kurtzke, in the build-up to the gala for the Jordan River Foundation in Jordan.

At the ensuing gala evening, attended by 800 or so of the country’s leading minds, a Snowball Blossom ewer from the MEISSEN Manufactory that was prominently displayed in the entrance area was the subject of particular attention. Amongst those who just couldn’t resist admiring the piece, which incorporates 1,300 hand-moulded petals, at close quarters was Queen Rania herself. Read more »
