Coffee Dejeuner "Lilies of the Valley"

Coffee Dejeuner "Lilies of the Valley"

Ludwig Grunder – at the time professor at the Dresden Academy of Arts and director of the Kupferstichkabinett – created the delightful decor “Lilies of the Valley” in 1861. It moved the jury at the London World Exposition a year later so much that they awarded it the gold medal. Meissen’s artistry thus once again became the leitmotif of the highest European culture of fine dining. As an exclusive, limited anniversary dejeuner, we now painted this décor on the Empire service of 1866 by Ernst August Leuteritz. Just as it once amazed the world in London, today it can hardly be surpassed in terms of charm and exclusivity. Pleasure has found its form.
