Dinner service in cheerful lilac - Dejeuner limited & hand painted!

The hand-painted decorated Dejeuner "Asian flower and bird painting" was designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler 1745. The dinner service is limited edition and consists of two cups with saucers, a dinner plate, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, a coffee pot and the matching serving tray. Thereby all pieces are hand painted with chinoiseries. They show on the dinner service the breeding, feeding and care of birds.

According to Asian symbolism, cranes represent long life, chrysanthemums represent vitality, and peonies represent femininity. Together, the fluttering birds and gorgeous blooms on the dejeuner convey pure joie de vivre. Accentuated by the radiant lilac base, vital orange and deep blue-violet of the painting. A hand-dipped, base gives special expressiveness to the delicate motifs according to J. Stadler.
