The magnificent vase, hand-painted and limited, was designed by Johann Daniel Schöne in 1817. Layer by layer, the painter applies the still liquid porcelain mass to the work of art in a wafer-thin layer, creating a highly refined relief. A breathtaking interior design. The most experienced porcelain artists at MEISSEN® have revived this refined technique of "pâte sur pâte". Only a few painters worldwide have mastered this difficult and intricate craft.
