The animal figurine "Billy Goat" by the artist Erich Hösel from 1911 shows accomplished craftsmanship in an enchanting way. The small billy goat is accentuated hand-painted. Individual features such as eyes, horns and ears are lovingly colored. Curious, as if it wants to see more of its surroundings, it thrusts its front legs at an upturned cup of MEISSEN® porcelain. This is hand-painted in a cobalt blue onion pattern. The traditional craft originated in 1731, inspired by East Asian decorations. In the modern face it accompanies the lovely animal figure.
