Market Surveillance Authority

To fulfill the tasks of the Accessibility Reinforcement Act, the federal states of Germany are currently establishing a joint authority. The Market Surveillance Authority for Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is scheduled to begin operation as a new public-law institution on 28 June 2025, based in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt. This is subject to ratification of the state treaty on the implementation of the BFSG by all federal states. Preparatory steps are currently underway in all states.
