Ahmad MouallaAhmad Moualla, who studied classical calligraphy, fine art, graphic design, and visual communication in Damascus and Paris, was interested in the relationship between painting and calligraphy and in how one can achieve visual results through an artistic exploration of these two disciplines. In the process of preparing the surfaces of his canvases, figuratively speaking, the painter meets the calligrapher.
