Stylish and elegant - With cufflinks from MEISSEN
#MENSTYLE
  • An occasion that requires suit is coming up - whether private or official ceremony, important business meetings or simply daily business. For this purpose, nothing should be left to coincidence, because the outfit has the requirement to prove style, elegance and seriousness, to evoke confidence and respect and, above all, to reflect self-confidence. Besides the tailor-made suit, it is the detail that completes the overall image - from the perfectly tied tie knot to the pocket square. A very special highlight among the suit accessories, however, are the cufflinks.

Some time passed before cufflinks adorned the lower end of the shirt sleeve. In the beginning, shirts were only there to keep clothes from getting dirty from body contact and had no additional fashion aspect. This changed in the 17th century: the parts of the shirt that peeked out from the clothing above became increasingly conspicuous, and shirt sleeves ended in ruffles and lace. To prevent these from falling over the hands, they were held together with ribbons or a simple button. The world continued to turn and when it became fashionable in the mid-19th century to wear collars, shirt chests and cuffs particularly starched and stiffened, simple buttons were no longer enough to fasten the cuffs - so cufflinks began to be worn, coming in a wide variety of shapes, colors and price categories. Their final breakthrough as a piece of jewelry came when Edward VII of Wales enthusiastically wore the eye-catching pieces made by jeweler Fabergé in many variations.

  • So you could say that cufflinks embody style and elegance with tradition - values that the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory also stands behind. And so it is no coincidence that we have also taken on this classic fashion accessory. With the cufflinks from our men's jewelry collection, we offer you a symbol of timeless elegance and first-class quality. But which cufflinks suit you?

Cufflinks usually consist of the back clasp and the motif carrier, which together form the frame for the piece of jewelry. The particularly high-quality clasp of our cufflinks shows itself straightforward and thus underlines the cultivated, stylish character of the modern wardrobe. Whether elegant and neutral in silver or striking and exquisite in gold or rose gold - there is a suitable option for every occasion and every outfit.

The centerpiece of our cufflinks - the hand-painted porcelain plates with various motifs - are a real decorative and outstanding craftsmanship highlight. Here, too, the motif must fit the overall picture. Simple motifs, such as our famous crossed swords or the dove with olive branch, go better with an eye-catching jacket or if the accessories are only to be discreet. Extravagant motifs such as the blue flower, the lily or the tiger unfold their splendor especially with classic suits. The same is true of the ships in the limited edition: the porcelain plates painted in masterful miniature art make the cufflink an absolute eye-catcher in a class of its own.

The cufflinks go through the cuffs of the shirt sleeve and hold them together. Make sure they fit snugly in the cuffs for a comfortable feel. After wearing, the cufflinks should be carefully cleaned and stored in a box or case to avoid scratches.

For very special occasions, cufflinks are also perfect as a gift. So you have the option to customize the porcelain plates with a monogram. The cufflinks can thus become a unique memento that has a high emotional value.
