On this Mother and Father's Day, we celebrate the beauty of being together through children's paintings, which remind us how it all began: around the table, surrounded by the people who matter most. At MEISSEN, every piece is made to be part of these moments – passed on, experienced, and loved.
Because everything feels more special when we are together. From this idea, the children of the manufactory's employees were invited to freely express their creativity with colors on paper. This resulted in two special interpretations of the MEISSEN world: imaginative decorative designs for the Butterfly Vase for Mother's Day, and individual paintings for the Berlin series mug for Father's Day.
The results are as diverse as the children themselves: playful, colorful, surprising, and full of emotional depth. They show an unbiased approach to design and make visible how closely creativity and feeling are connected. In each design, a special closeness to the material is reflected: original, imaginative, and unmistakably personal. Surprisingly diverse, detail-loving, and full of imagination, the designs tell their own stories and thus sometimes become memories of a special time spent together.
The most beautiful moments begin where we are together: at the table, in the circle of family. On Mother’s and Father’s Day, MEISSEN reminds us that each piece is created to be part of these moments – for today and for generations.

Both the vase for Mother's Day and the handled mugs for Father's Day are put up for voting via MEISSEN's social media channels. The community is invited to actively participate in shaping the story of the designs, become part of the creative process, and choose the winning designs. The selected designs are then transferred by the experienced porcelain painters of the manufactory with the highest precision and craftsmanship expertise onto original MEISSEN porcelain by hand-painting. In this way, a unique artwork is created from a child's drawing.
The winners can look forward to something very special: their designs will not only be realized, but will also be presented to them as handcrafted unique pieces. With this initiative, MEISSEN impressively combines tradition and the future. Iconic craftsmanship meets the boundless imagination of children, creating emotional moments in porcelain that go far beyond their material value.
Mother's and Father's Day are a celebration of family and the moments shared together that shape us – back then as well as today and for future generations. Because the most valuable things arise together. #ThankYouMomAndDad
