The perfect ring
  • Rings are among the oldest pieces of jewellery in the world and are not only a symbol of love and connection. They can also symbolise faith, wealth, power or one's own ideals. The decisive factors are both the material and the design, which give each ring its specific meaning. Whether a friendship ring, signet ring, wedding ring, christening ring or family ring - each ring stands for its very own promise. But probably the most romantic promise is symbolised by the engagement ring - it stands for eternal love, affection and appreciation.

The ring itself was already forged in antiquity from a single cast in the shape of a circle - without beginning or end - and was thus a sign of close union. The rite of putting the ring on the ring finger of the left hand also dates from this time. According to belief, this finger is directly connected to the heart through a vein. Moreover, the left side of the body is considered the heart side - where all feelings find their place. With this romantic message, it is especially the engagement or wedding ring that finds its place on this finger.

Our "1739 Royal Blossom" jewellery collection was once a promise of eternal love and has its origins in what is probably the most famous love story of the porcelain manufactory. Created in 1739 by Johann Joachim Kaendler, the original Snowball Blossoms once adorned the magnificent service commissioned by King August III as a gift for his beloved wife Maria Josepha. Almost 300 years later, the symbol of this romantic gesture - the iconic porcelain blossom - is transformed into unique pieces of jewellery in our manufactory. But before the delicate Snowball Blossom adorns the golden ring, it passes through many hands. The blossom is shaped by hand with great appreciation for the material, marked with the blue swords, fired, glazed and crowned with a diamond flower stamp. This makes each piece of jewellery a small unique piece - which can be the beginning of your very personal love story.

"For more than 300 years, we have perfected our unique snowball blossom and created rings that stand for everlasting love."
