The "Giant Bloom" service was developed by MEISSEN designer Lena Hensel in collaboration with the porcelain painters from the Meissen manufactory over a period of around 12 months. The Giant Bloom decors already used in the fine art depatments served as a model for the collection. The popular "MEISSEN® Cosmopolitan" was deliberately chosen as the service form, because the wide plate rim represents a perfect stage for the sweeping painting. This is also the case with the hand painted "Iceland Poppy" dinner plate, which is characterized by its bright, strong color and brings spring to the table. With the "Iceland Poppy" dinner plate, MEISSEN has implemented a summer garden ornament on Meissen porcelain. The flower, shown in bright pink tones, has a particularly three-dimensional effect due to the detail shown and the enlargement. The different "Giant Bloom" variants can also be combined very well for a summer table arrangement.
