Orangery Lemon Can

The inspiration for the "Orangerie" box in the shape of a lemon with naturalistic staffing comes from the Meissen manufactory archive for decoration in interior design. In the 18th century, fresh fruits were considered luxury items and were often used as table decorations and in interior design, but only as long as they retained their freshness. For this reason, they were hand-painted in the finest porcelain and could be used again and again as natural decoration.
