Meissen porcelain eggs are inspired by traditional Easter decorations. Moulded from the manufactory's porcelain, each egg is then retouched by hand to hone its delicate contours. The richly detailed relief pattern featured on this egg depicts a bunch of daffodils underneath the manufactory's Crossed Swords signet. Together with tulips, daffodils had a special place in Baroque-era gardens and heralded the triumphant return of spring. Kept unglazed, the velvety bisque porcelain accentuates the warmth and delicate transparency of the material. Meissen's Easter egg collection features a wealth of designs that can be combined in a variety of ways, offering celebratory accents to spring bouquets and floral arrangements.
