Single Figurine Saxonia

The "Saxonia" figurine is a miniature work of art in a refined white finish, created in 2015. The sculpture's larger counterpart was created by former Meissen chief sculptor Jörg Danielczyk to mark the 25th anniversary of German reunification. Standing an impressive 1.80m tall, it is the world's largest freestanding porcelain sculpture. Today, you can admire this majestic figure in the foyer of the Haus MEISSEN^® Experience Center.

Like many artists before him, Danielczyk explored the theme of "fashion." For him, it became a captivating and inspiring passion. "Saxonia" is one of the most expressive models, offering a glimpse into a profound fascination. Crafted entirely from the pure white of Meissen porcelain, she proudly displays the dreamlike snowball blossoms. These blossoms are among the most significant creations of the Meissen modeler Johann Joachim Kaendler. Created as early as 1739 for the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, this extraordinary decoration evolved into a milestone in European porcelain art and is still considered today the epitome of Baroque splendor and artisanal perfection. The "Saxonia" consists of 22 pieces and is adorned with approximately 4,000 enchanting snowball blossoms, all individually hand-formed. A breathtaking work of art full of grace and elegance.
