description
One of the Meissen manufactory's most opulent and traditionally important tableware collections is the "Swan Service" created by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1737. This white, delicate milk jug is part of this dinner service and owes its name to the traditionally typical swan relief, which adorns the small jug along with delicately crafted reed and water motifs. The artistically designed handle in the shape of a dolphin gives this milk jug the traditional maritime setting that characterizes all pieces of the dinner service. Just like this tableware, every other one of the more than 2,200 pieces with the swan motif is made to the high standards of the Meissen manufactory. This tableware can therefore be wonderfully combined with others, but also adds a touch of elegance to any dining room as a single piece. Whether as a gift or as an addition to your home, this filigree milk jug, as part of a world-famous dinner service, evokes the hidden magic of the Baroque and the traditional aesthetic table culture of the 18th century.
