Inspired by Armin Müller-Stahl in his role as Baron Kaspar Joachim von Utz in the film by Dutch director George Sluizer (1992), Strang created the character "The Collector". Based on the novel of the same name "Utz" by Bruce Chatwin, the film presents the fate of a passionate collector who not only cannot part with his MEISSEN® porcelain figurines, but puts his life entirely at the service of their preservation and reproduction. The figurine is lovingly hand-painted with dedication and love for the craft, which are in no way inferior to the collector's passion.
