The magnificent "Swan Service" by master modeller Johann Joachim Kaendler with over 2,200 pieces was first creted between 1737 and 1742 and is still considered an opus magnum of German Baroque art. Based off on the incomparable design language of the original, MEISSEN presents the flat gourmet plate, an impressive addition to the splendorous service. Central decorative elements such as the namesake swan pair or the majestic heron adorn the bulging edge of the gourmet plate as delicate reliefs. Waves worked out in great detail also emphasize the plasticity of the high-quality porcelain and symbolize the leitmotif of the water. Formed by hand in the Meissen manufactory, this one-of-a-kind service from the royal court of August III brings Baroque banquet culture into the present - steeped in Meissen's tradition.
