Meissen porcelain eggs are inspired by traditional Easter decorations. Moulded from the manufactory's porcelain, each egg is then decorated in a plethora of décor variants. The rounded shape and characteristic radiant white lustre offer a flawless, broad - albeit small-scale - surface on which to feature the vibrant artwork. The historic signet of the Meissen manufactory - the Crossed Swords - is presented here as a graphic pattern. Since its introduction as Europe's first luxury trademark, it has stood to represent the highest quality of porcelain and exceptional craftsmanship. To this end, the manufactory's signature cobalt blue paint was developed specifically to emphasize the characteristic radiant white lustre of the porcelain. Meissen's Easter egg collection features a wealth of designs that can be combined in a variety of ways, offering celebratory accents to spring bouquets and floral arrangements.
