In 1731, the blue "Onion Pattern" was created, which adorns the vase "Onion Pattern" of the form "New Cutout". The stylized motif may remind of onions, but it represents melons and peaches as well as bamboo and delicate chrysanthemum blossoms based on East Asian motifs. Then as now, specially trained underglaze painters apply the "Onion Pattern" by hand to the porcelain in the factory's own cobalt blue. Johann Joachim Kaendler designed the vase "Onion Pattern" of the form "New Cutout" in 1745 as part of the table service "New Cutout". With its simple and graceful shape, the vase is an elegant classic, which as a flower vase or decorative object gives every home its certain something. A timelessly beautiful Christmas present.
