Candlestick Coral reef with fish, adorned with gold

The 5.3-inch-tall "Coral Reef with Fish" candlestick in Meissen porcelain pays tribute to the fascinating underwater world. Designed by Maximilian Hagstotz with extraordinary attention to detail, it reflects his artistic exploration of the element of water. Inspired by formative experiences in Australia and numerous travels, the design captures the diversity and fragile beauty of marine life.

The candlestick rises like a natural coral formation. Organic structures, delicate branches, and sculptural details create a vibrant reef in which finely modeled fish move among the corals. The composition beautifully conveys the depth and dynamism of the underwater world.

The predominantly white finish emphasizes the intricate modeling and exceptional surface texture. Partial gold decoration on selected fish adds luxurious accents, creating an appealing contrast with the white porcelain. The interplay of gold, light, and shadow highlights the sculptural details and lends the piece additional elegance.

Carefully handcrafted by the renowned Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, this candlestick combines masterful craftsmanship with contemporary design. At the same time, it draws attention to the beauty and fragility of coral reefs, making it a distinctive work of art with a meaningful message about protecting our oceans.
