MEISSEN is celebrating Hentschel's anniversary with the new series "Miniature Hentschel Children". Next year the exceptional artist, who was one of the most important Meissen Jugendstil artists, would have turned 150. Julius Konrad Hentschel immortalised a fascinating naturalness as well as intensity in porcelain with his "Hentschel Children", created from 1904 to 1907, marking a turning point in Meissen small sculpture at the beginning of the 20th century. The expression, style and subject of the figurines were a novelty at the time. The hand-painted Miniature Hentschel Child "Child with Dog" enchants with an impressive new staffage by Silke Ebermann.
