The "Child with Cup" is one of the "Hentschel Children" created between 1904 and 1907 by the Meissen artist Julius Konrad Hentschel. The cup, which is held by the 17cm high figurine, is painted with the world-famous Meissen "Onion Pattern". This is applied by hand with the manufactory's own cobalt blue. In fact, the decoration does not represent onions, but peach and melon as well as bamboo stick and delicate chrysanthemum flowers. The Meissen porcelain figurines emphasize the individual charisma and characteristics of the children with their emotional intensity, aura and authenticity. They are portraits of fascinating liveliness and modern, vivid images of childhood in the early 20th century. The perfect Christmas gift: MEISSEN - a very special gift.
