As homage to spring, Flora wears one of Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s masterpieces of the Rococo period known as "The Swing" on her bodice. This painting, a personal favorite of Antemann’s, acts as a springboard for the Couture in the sculpture; the Shepherdess hat, denoting innocence and nature, the perfect accessory atop a gown growing with hand painted flowers. Flora offers a flower from the MEISSEN® style Chinoiserie vase on her lap, a little clue to her name and a nod to another master painter, Johann Gregorius Höroldt, famous for creating his own style of delicate Chinoiserie scenes on MEISSEN® porcelain.
