The two "Blue Bird" vases by Chris Antemann embody the fusion of tradition and contemporary porcelain art. Richly painted, ripe figs adorn their surfaces, forming a harmonious ensemble with the pomegranate and apple from Antemann's imagined Garden of Eden. On the curved, pear-shaped vases sit Antemann's signature figures, each holding a small blue bird-a playful, inverted interpretation of the classic Paradise Vase. With the "Paradise Garniture," the artist brings beloved Meissen forms from three centuries to new life, while simultaneously opening a fresh chapter in her contemporary collection for the manufactory.
