Monkey Orchestra Music Stand

The "music stand" is part of the "Monkey Chapel" by Johann Joachim Kaendler. He mastered the craft like hardly anyone else. Each monkey from his "Monkey Chapel", consisting of a total of 21 collectible figures, has its own character and is hand-painted in rich detail and color. In keeping with the trend of the time, Kaendler mischievously held up a mirror to courtly society, and the monkey was his motif of choice. In addition to the monkey musicians, the figure of the music stand completes the set of collectible figurines. This figure also stands out for its very fine decoration and is also hand painted. The finest Meissen porcelain and traditional craftsmanship merge in the "Monkey Chapel" to form an endearing ensemble.
