description

The Monkey Band guitarist is a playful figurine inspired by the work of the legendary master modeller Joachim Kaendler. The delicate blossoms and birds of paradise on the figure's robe are hand-painted with the utmost care, making it a true expression of craftsmanship and originality. This charming monkey is part of a larger ensemble of collectible figurines - the Meissen Monkey Band. Each individual monkey in the orchestra possesses its own distinct personality and masterfully portrays the courtly society's love of spectacle in the 18th century.

Bring a piece of true artistry into your home with our collectible figurines - hand-painted for you with love and attention to detail.
