Exclusive Collection Nereide with Bowl

The Nereid rises gracefully from the waves of the sea-an ancient sea nymph, symbol of the tide and the untamed forces of nature. She carries a bowl in her hands that appears to be shaped like a shell, adding a functional and symbolic dimension to the group of figures. Johann Friedrich Eberlein created this composition for the famous Swan Service of the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory back in the 18th century, based on an idea by Johann Joachim Kaendler.

In the new edition with platinum painting, the figure shines with timeless elegance: fine lines and strategically placed highlights accentuate the movement and relief, further emphasizing the dynamism of the composition.
