description
The figure of a tailor riding a billy goat was first created by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1737. A variant of this sculpture from the MEISSEN® Exclusive Collection was created in 1740. Less extravagant than its larger predecessor, but no less detailed, the 21 cm high work of art, hand-painted of course, is impressive. The billy goat even carries the tailor's iron next to him, while his rider euphorically greets him with a pair of scissors. On his back, the figure carries a hutch with two cute kids. Delicately hand-painted, the sight of the sculpture is enchanting. An extraordinary work of art from the exclusive collection.
