Warm natural candlelight bathes the room in a festive atmosphere. The plates, bowls and cutlery are arranged on the table according to precise rules. And amongst the ladies and gentlemen, who have just taken their seats, a landscape of fantastic images, curved shapes and delicately designed figurines can be seen. It’s easy to imagine the scenes in which the magnificent Meissen chandeliers made by Johann Joachim Kaendler in the mid-18th century were originally used. Antemann’s two-level "Lemon Chandelier" is her interpretation of Kaendler’s impressive work. Her fairy-tale, innocent-looking figures, birds, leaves, flowers and porcelain crockery in miniature format show a mastery of MEISSEN® shapes that have lain dormant for centuries. And so a new story has been created, based on the historic shapes of Kaendler’s originals.
