description
As part of the famous "Swan Service", this beautiful cake plate is one of 2,200 porcelains by Meissen master modeller Johann Joachim Kaendler. Originally designed as tableware for August III, today it complements one of the most important dinner services of the Meissen manufactory and elegantly and authentically transports the aesthetics of the Baroque period into our time. The eponymous pair of swans swim across the 28 cm wide cake plate through delicate reeds and gently undulating waves in the mirror image of a sea shell. The high-quality tableware of the opulent dinner service traditionally meets the high standards of the Meissen quality promise and impresses with the detailed workmanship of the porcelain and the artistic design of the base of the cake plate, whose wave relief catches the light in an almost miraculous way. The famous Baroque-style dinner service contains numerous stunning pieces that can be wonderfully combined with one another. Traditional yet timeless, this tableware adds a touch of historical elegance to any dining room and makes a perfect gift for lovers of fine craftsmanship.
