This vase belongs as a testimony of excellent craftsmanship to the "Limited Masterpieces" of the MEISSEN® manufactory.
The template for the "Lid Vase Flower Painting" after Merian is provided by Maria Sibylla Merian. With hand-painted delphinium, imperial corolla, forget-me-not and auricula, the MEISSEN® porcelain painters precisely follow the patterns of the 17th century naturalist and artist, but their composition is new. Thus, inconspicuous caterpillars become beautiful butterflies that merge with the world of flowers.
Hand-painted "lid vase flower painting" is produced limited to 25 copies.
