Museum of MEISSEN® Art

The Museum of MEISSEN® Art is the most comprehensive collection of Meissen Porcelains® from the beginnings in 1710 to the present day and therefore unique amongst the world’s collections of MEISSEN®.

In 1916 the Museum was opened as showroom of the manufactory.

Today the Museum of MEISSEN® Art takes you on an enticing journey through more than 300 years of porcelain history.

Numerous pieces from 1710 to the present day are arranged chronologically to illustrate design developments through the ages.

The “All nations are welcome” exhibition, initiated in 2010 as part of the manufactory’s tercentenary celebrations, displays on a whole floor characteristic Meissen Porcelains® produced since 1710 that reveal cultural and religious influences from the outside world or else have been commissioned at some point for lovers of porcelain the world over.
