The 15 cm tall "Ibis" was developed at the so called Meissen Atelier, which offers internal and external designers the opportunity to actively promote the artistic development of the Meissen Manufactory. Since its foundation in 1710, the Porcelain Manufactory has been shaped by influences from various artistic and cultural circles. This tradition is continued today by the Meissen Atelier. Meissen artist Maximilian Hagstotz creates a modern designed Ibis, which fits into the lively and varied animal world of the Meissen figurines. Although the shape of the animal is greatly reduced, the Ibis remains clearly recognisable. He sits raised on a small pedestal, like on a stone on the riverbank and presents his unmistakably long and sickle-shaped curved beak. The "Ibis" is therefore a wonderful gift.
