Colorful and somewhat cheeky, the parrot looks at the viewer. MEISSEN® artists have been creating bird figurines since the 18th century. Johann Joachim Kaendler played a leading role in this. The hand-painted bird figurine "Parrot", created in 1763, captivates the viewer with its lifelike shape and the differentiated coloring of the plumage - both the result of elaborate craftsmanship. Hand-painted in vibrant colors, the bird figurine appears as if time has stood still - a snapshot of nature - an incomparable work of art.
