description
Under the direction of Ernst August Leuteritz, who shaped the design department of the Meissen porcelain manufactory from 1849 to 1886, the modelers and porcelain painters drew on the rich artistic heritage of the manufactory. This era saw the creation of numerous vessels that combined Baroque and Rococo elements with 19th-century aesthetics. The bowl shape shown here is an impressive example of this period - a work whose sculptural relief attests to the high level of craftsmanship of the MEISSEN masters of the 19th century.

In the new edition, the relief has been deliberately left white to reveal its detailed structure. Porcelain painter Anett Gerner transferred the floral shapes of the relief into the finest Indian painting - one of the manufactory's most characteristic decorations. This painting style combines stylized flowers, tendrils, and fantasy elements and is only achieved through the masterful combination of pen and brush painting.

A delicate gold rim, encompassing both the relief and the central decoration, adds precious accents and underscores the noble character of the bowl. The result is a work of art that harmoniously combines tradition and innovation.

Incidentally, the term "Indian painting" dates back to the time of Augustus the Strong: at that time, "India Meridionalis" and "India Superior" referred to all countries east of India. Porcelain manufactured in MEISSEN based on East Asian models was therefore given this designation - a reference to the fascination with Far Eastern art that continues to this day.

With a limited edition of only 25 pieces, the "Graphic Flower Fantasy" bowl is not only a testament to artistic craftsmanship, but also a precious collector's item and an extraordinary gift idea for lovers of exquisite porcelain art.
