Limited Edition 2021 Box, Seated Chinese man

To mark the 75th anniversary of Paul Scheurich's death, the manufactory is honoring one of its most important porcelain sculptors of the 20th century with the limited reissue of this box, which he created in 1937 - undoubtedly a testament to fine craftsmanship. On the lid sits a Chinese man who seems to be enjoying life with his legs folded under him and a fan in his hand. Victoria Schmidt came up with a small amusing detail for the hand-painted decoration: The base and edge of the box are designed like a pillow. This means that Scheurich's sitting Chinese man can now make himself comfortable on MEISSEN^® porcelain for the next centuries of his existence. The lid of the box is also decorated with a beautiful hand-painted scene from the Asian imagination of the time.
