The "Serving Dish Japanese Flower and Ornament Painting" in the shape "New cut-out" was designed by Johann Daniel Schöne. The chessboard pattern goes back to Japanese Imari style patterns, which were popular because of their brocade-like splendour. The artist Nicole Drigalla sketches it on the porcelain with a pencil and then paints the ornaments precisely with pen and copper paint in several layers. Highlights made of pure gold and the sword brand integrated into the decor set accents. The playful dissolution of strict symmetry gives traditional art a fascinating modernity. Limited to 25 pieces.
