Elector Augustus the Strong was famous for his debauched feasts, for which the beautiful, rich and noble gathered in Dresden Castle. With the invention of "white gold" and the founding of the MEISSEN® manufactory in 1710, the courtly tradition of the festive table was also taken up in porcelain design, with unusual colors and shapes of the dinner service embodying high craftsmanship. This gravy boat with fish head has also more than earned its place there. For the Limited Edition 2021, the expansive, imaginative form of 1814 was deliberately decorated in a bold and exaggerated hand-painted manner.
In this way, it also became a small work of art. The gravy boat certainly goes well with many dinner services, but certainly especially with the MEISSEN® Cosmopolitan "Blue Treasures".
