This hand-painted decorated dinner service is a dinnerware set of a special kind!
Available only in limited quantities, the Gotzkowsky Dejeuner was made to order by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1741 for Berlin merchant Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky. In accordance with the fashion of the time, the dinner service was decorated with reliefs and flowers. In the new interpretation, hand-painted decorated shields show figures of Italian comedy casting long shadows against the background of Venice in the evening sun.
