The "Key Welcome" is part of the Limited Masterworks 2011 and available in a quantity of 75. The design of the Key goes back to Johann Jacob Irminger, one of the first sculptors of the manufactory. Originally intended as a drinking goblet, the "Key Welcome" was first documented to have been passed around the Albrechtsburg Castle between Augustus the Strong and his entourage on the 21 April 1714. Thus, in its tradition, the Key stands for hospitality, entry into the world of the arts and the unique painting of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. The Key is decorated with Albrechtsburg Castle, the first production site of Meissen porcelain from 1710 to 1864, and the city view of Meißen. The painting is based on an engraving by the artist Alexander Fiele from around 1726. The Limited Masterworks 2011 "Key Welcome" has always been a link between people and is ideal as a special gift.
