Like his master Kaendler, Johann Friedrich Eberlein repeatedly overcomes the pure practicality of vessels with extremely imaginative figurative compositions in the finest craftsmanship - as is the case with this limited edition box with figure. In doing so, he is inspired by the imagery of the Orient, which is reflected in numerous details such as the knobs of the box in the shape of a crescent moon. For the limited edition, the painting of the medallions is also based on these subjects. The detailed hand-painted filigree work with copper colors is applied with a brush on the basis of a previous pen and ink drawing. After the painting dries, the green fund is displayed in the finest contours - genuine Meissen craftsmanship. The figure of the man wears hand-painted decorated clothing, whose dynamic drapery is in tension with the solid nature of the can. Magnificent craftsmanship and Baroque splendor work in monadic unity in this hand-painted and limited edition figurine, transforming it into a fitting complement to Meissen's "Limited Masterpieces 2019".
