The "Swan Can" was created by Johann Daniel Schöne in 1815 as a precious ink container. With the swan, on which a small putto rides, the artist quotes a central motif of the manufactory's Baroque porcelain art. The famous "Swan Service" by Johann Joachim Kaendler was particularly varied: Reliefs of floating swans adorn almost each of the originally over 2,000 pieces of commissioned work for Count Heinrich von Brühl. In mythology, the majestic white bird is a symbol of perfect beauty, purity and innocence. And also with the lid knob, an artfully modelled and painted putto, Schöne refers to the baroque MEISSEN - the heyday of Europe's first porcelain manufactory. Limited to 50 pieces.
