description
Mizaru, kikazaru, iwazaru - see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing. The Japanese guiding principle on the essence of morality - the appropriate way to deal with bad things. A play on words - the Japanese negation (zaru) sounds similar to the Japanese word for monkey (saru) - gave rise to the connection to the well-known depictions. MEISSEN® artist Maria Walther reinterprets this guiding principle in the 22 cm high figure. She lets the pure white of the porcelain speak for itself. The sculpture depicts three different monkey species in an impressive work of art with detailed precision. The expressive figure in white is a must-have for any fan of Far Eastern artwork. The sculpture uniquely combines Japanese tradition with the tradition of the MEISSEN® manufactory. A sculpture in elegant white - a work of art in figure.
