The single figurine "Cockatoo" is characterized by its inner shades in bright blue, which develops its suggestive effect by individually placed, outflowing fine brushstrokes. Partly applied black accents make the contours of the feathers stand out sharply, giving the figurine its graphic appeal. The single figurine "Cockatoo" is part of a pair, which was designed in a uniform decorative style. However, it differs from its partner in colour and posture. Together or individually, the sculpture is a very special Christmas gift. For the edition "Meissen Atelier" this limited edition of a cockatoo sculpture by Johann Joachim Kaendler from 1737. For the first time, the baroque animal sculpture is presented in a new, contemporary decorative style: an interplay between naturalistic staging and abstract patterns.
