The bird figurine created by two of the most gifted artists, Johann Friedrich Eberlein and Johann Joachim Kandler, is striking and beautiful. With its imposing feathered cap and bright orange face, hand-painted, it sits alertly on its trunk. The lifelike depiction of birds goes back a long way. Artists have been reproducing animal situations true to detail since the middle of the 18th century. In 1737, artists created this cockatoo using exceptional craftsmanship. Hand-painted with great attention to detail, the bird figurine is a wonderful example of MEISSEN® craftsmanship.
