The guest performance of "Le Carnaval", staged at the Theater des Westens in Berlin, inspired Paul Scheurich to create his "Russian Ballet" figures. These were his first as well as most successful work of art for MEISSEN. The limited new edition of the hand-painted sculptures of originally five Russian dancers with cheerful poses has lost nothing of its fascination. With a great sense of detail, Scheurich portrayed the dancer, his Eusebius, as a sincere, sensitive person. With his left hand directed toward his heart, he affirms his pure feeling. The sculpture of Eusebius also appears indescribably dynamic and weightless. Like the others, this figure is also hand-painted. The work of art is limited to 25 pieces.
